It's being reported now in the live coverage of the Silverstone 6 Hours that a deal has been done.
Did they name the source or is it a rumour?

Don't know if this has done the rounds on Twitter yet, but the talk in China is that Webbo has signed a 5-year sportscar deal with Porsche.

Hmm, Kimi to RedBull?

Good news for Porsche, although I'm surprised MW would go back to Le Mans given his previous experience there with Mercedes.
Really? Are you surprised he didn't retire from F1 after Valencia 2010? Silly comment.

Strange timing for any announcement of that sort. I would say it is a rumor until confirmed by Mark - or Porsche...
Have to agree but sometimes when there is smoke...
Sad news really but that's how F1 turnover goes, drivers leave and new ones rock up.

Yes for now, but you can't deny that Red Bull has more resources and Kimi would fit their image perfectly.
If Red Bull really wants Kimi it will be hard for Lotus to match their offer. But we will see.

Don't think he enjoys the whole tyre management aspect of F1 much, and Vettel has methodically highlighted Webbers lack of that extra little bit to be a number 1 at any of the top teams.
Will always be a whatif of F1, regards that spin on the kerb at Korea in 2010.. Hope he can challenge for a few more wins this season

Eve posted it about a minute after Kate Walker's post. Doubt she has a source other than that. Its all over various WEC twitter feeds from more than one source, most notably Radio Le Mans official account has "announced" it, best to wait until its official but its been rumoured for a while.

Who'd have thought a couple of years ago that Webber & Stoner would be racing cars in 2013 !

Regardless of what anyone says about him. Webber has done Australia proud and he's done F1 proud. A quality driver who had to work to get into F1.
Again rumours though about him leaving, so we will have to just take it with a grain of salt.

Hmmm, I suppose I should have put that caveat in my first message as I expected somebody would pipe up with that. If you think all the way back to '99 he flipped twice at Le Mans and from what I recall was understandably not too happy!

then exactly who? Chilton? Gutierez? Pic? VDG? Grosjean? Jev? di Resta?About time. More young fast guys and less jorney men who are happy to be a number 2 in their team.
who actually from these is young and fast? As far as I can recall most of them are doing errors like crazy. Or are simply SLOW
Only exception is Hulk and Bianchi, though Bianchi is yet to show in midfield team at least
dunno what to think about Riccardo, but he seems at least not bad compared to mentioned above.

So would I, that is why I don't understand Kimi fans being happy with him going to Red Bull. Kimi may be a better driver than Vettel but do you think Marko is going to change his "spots". I don't think so!If that's true then I'm sure he would be much happier there, so I only feel sorry for whoever has to replace him.

He's had a good long career, made his money, now he's going to spend the sunset of his career actually racing and doing what he loves.
Don't blame him...

Antonio Felix Da Costa.
no chance for Red Bull seat, he is not experienced enough. Red Bull are after Kimi, they have admitted it. if they don't get him, they will sign someone else but it will be someone who has had at least couple of years in f1.

Pretty big news if it is true
Unusual to have it leaked 3 races into the season, even given last week's events. Surely he would be at least exploring other quality F1 options first, if he's looking around?
How secure are Perez & Grosjean, for example?
Thus I call bullshit on this one.

No chance. All the hype is just new driver syndrome. 2 years ago their was massive hype of a young Frenchman named Jean, the year before that it was an Aussie named Dan. Personally i think Ricciardo may replace Webber then Da Costa alongside JEV in the Toro Rosso. Time will tell i guess.

Have you considered that he's not interested in F1 anymore?
He seemed very relaxed and happy all weekend despite the problems he had today and yesterday. So I think he's relieved to move on from this sport. And a good call imho.

What ever gave you the impression Mark's ever been 'happy' to be pigeonholed as a Number 2, when he was the undisputed Number 1 from 2002 to 2008? I think Mark's the very definition of a driver fighting hard to be seen as a co Number 1.
