I think two things have to be learnt from this dreadful event.
In such cases only the minimum comment on forums or social media is a must. The muck chasing press search everywhere for a comment to use out of context.
Secondly the fact that the Daily Whail did run the story proves that such events are now fortunately very rare in our sport. The last figures I saw showed motorsport in all its forms as thirteenth on the list of UK sports for deaths and serious injuries. Here in the Lake District people fall off mountains regularly but it never hits the nationals.

Whilst watching from the Media Suite the Cunningham came into the pits and stopped the engine, he restarted it and clouds and clouds of smoke started pouring out.
It seems to always have this trouble, even at last years media day for the festival.
