I am researching ol' 0666 the prototype Testa Rossa
I was under the mistaken impression that Shelby American had installed the 427 Ford V8 in it
back in the '50s or '60s but now read a blog on Hemmings that it was a 'mechanic named Bob Sanders in Covina.
Does anyone know if he was an ex-Shelby employee?
Of if the engine was a 427 side oiler? And what the carburetion was? The article in Hemmings doesn't have an engine shot.

I also heard that the car was later on touched off on fire by a match. Who was the owner at that time?

I know the car has been reunited with its correct engine and sold for $16 million in modern days but I am only interested in the days when it was just some ol' furrin' car with a worn out itty bitty Ferrari V12
