Loeb in a pug with 1:1 power to weight ratio
No pug and no Loeb in it
EDIT:
If there was a prize for the worst sports coverage of the year, they would be winning it, by a mile...

The announcers pronounciation of Peugeot makes me want to stab my eardrums with pencils.
How are they pronouncing it? As annoyingly as the English and their 'Purrjot'?

Well it IS 'Poo-Jot' according to every Frenchman I've ever heard say it.

Same here (although it's proNUNciation ). And whoever is producing this "coverage" should also be repeatedly stabbed with pencils. The announcers pronounciation of Peugeot makes me want to stab my eardrums with pencils.

Loeb pronounces it "purr" not "poo".

Also, those commentators on the Red Bull feed were the worst motorsport commentators I've ever heard. Absolutely terrible. And the awkwardness at the crowd silence after "Who else is excited here?" was palpable.

I think what Peugeot did is ridiculous. To come to this almost amateur race with all their $$$ and a superstar driver, of course they were going to win, and smash the record that was set on the rain last year. Cheap cheap marketing.
At least when they went to Le Mans, they had the balls to come and try to beat Audi.

All the bits were laying around, the engine was from a PEscarolo sportscar thatw as laying around anyway too
SO really it wasnt that much of an expensive deal! And most of it was probably covered by Red Bull for their marketing arm.
He probably had a bit in reserve too,
Now we want the Germans to come back, cmon Audi get an R8 engine in a TT or an R8 and take it back, y just know that someone somewhere is talking about this in Ingolstadt!!

The point was that they came to set a benchmark (like Audi and Peugeot in the past) rather than smash a few amateurs and get a meaningless win.Yeah thank you but I am aware of that (being French, it was hard to miss it) and I don't see your point anyway. Peugeot already won here so what ? That doesn't make my above statement wrong.

Pikes Peak has had a long history of factory teams coming to compete - even Peugeot themselves. Both Audi and Peugeot have come to PPIHC in the past with factory efforts, and other companies like Suzuki and Hyundai have sponsored teams quite heavily in recent years. Also, the electric class has several factory teams competing.
Audi and Peugeot have also done their factory entries with relatively little investment too, using hardware from other racing series (Audi's quattro was from Rally, Peugeot's latest uses components from their LMP program, for example).

Certainly impressive isn't it - even at high altitude.
How about where he's doing about 220 odd k's and all you can see is a road disappearing into sky!
