yeh, you can't beat a works deal.Unmistakably true. And I don't really reckon that Mercedes power will make Williams the force they were in the 80s and first half of the 90s. I'd say they need an exclusive, McLaren-Honda-esque manufacturer deal for that.
The same goes for Lotus, by the way: whether they stay with Renault or opt for Honda come 2016, they will be behind Red Bull respectively McLaren in the picking order.
Williams to end relationship with Renault?

And as seen, the French team plan didn't go well at all: 10 points in three seasons.

True. But Williams Renault 2 is a bit of a shadow compared to the original Williams Renault era.
Oh well. Good luck to them anyway - most F1 fans would be happy to see them do well for whatever reason.
Williams had a respectable season last year. It was never going to be anywhere near the original Williams Renault era as long as they don't have big sponsors.

I dont think works deals are going to be that important, even with the new V6t engines.

Maybe badged just as Williams AMG?
I doubt. I think the AMG belongs to be with Mercedes, not with Williams.
But I got an idea, Merc could badge their works team's engines as AMG, to make the chassis name Mercedes AMG, like in the official team name.

That's quite a good idea, indeed: Mercedes–AMGBut I got an idea, Merc could badge their works team's engines as AMG, to make the chassis name Mercedes AMG, like in the official team name.
And the customer teams would then simply be McLaren–Mercedes (2014 only), Force India–Mercedes and now Williams–Mercedes.

Big sponsors don't guarantee a good car. They have the funds to design and build a car, you have to look to those do the designing for the poor results.
