[Edit: title should read 'Father/Son WDC Standings']

1st: Graham and Damon Hill 270 + 360 (630)
2nd: Keke and Nico Rosberg 159.5 + 446.5 (606)
3rd: Nelson and Nelson (jnr) Piquet 481.5 + 19 (500.5)
4th: Gilles and Jacques Villeneuve 101 + 235 (336)
5th: Jack and Gary and David Brabham 253 + 0 + 0 (253)
6th: Mario and Michael Andretti 180 + 7 (187)
7th: Antonio and Alberto Ascari 0 + 107 9/14 (107 9/14)
8th: Hans and Hans-Joachim Stuck 0 + 29 (29)
9th: Satoru and Kazuki Nakajima 16 + 9 (25)
10th: Manfred and Markus Winkelhock 2 + 0 (2)

Do we think the order reflects the abilities of the combined pairs?

Doing it on an overall Wins basis gives an adjusted result:

1st: Graham and Damon Hill 14 + 22 (36)
2nd: Nelson and Nelson (jnr) Piquet 23 + 0 (23)
3rd: Gilles and Jacques Villeneuve 6 + 11 (17)
4th: Jack and Gary and David Brabham 14 + 0 + 0 (14)
5th: Antonio and Alberto Ascari 0 + 13 (13)
6th: Mario and Michael Andretti 12 + 7 (12)
7th: Keke and Nico Rosberg 5 + 2 (7)
8th: Hans and Hans-Joachim Stuck 0 + 0 (0)
9th: Satoru and Kazuki Nakajima 0 + 0 (0)
10th: Manfred and Markus Winkelhock 0 + 0 (0)

And finally, on a win percentage (wins/race starts):

1st: Graham and Damon Hill 36/291 (12.37%)
2nd: Nelson and Nelson (jnr) Piquet 23/232 (9.91%)
3rd: Jack and Gary and David Brabham 14/152 (9.21%)
4th: Mario and Michael Andretti 12/141 (8.51%)
5th: Gilles and Jacques Villeneuve 17/231 (7.36%)
6th: Keke and Nico Rosberg 7/248 (2.82%)
7th: Hans and Hans-Joachim Stuck 0/ (0)
8th: Satoru and Kazuki Nakajima 0/ (0)
9th: Manfred and Markus Winkelhock 0/ (0)

DQ: Antonio and Alberto Ascari 13/32 (40.63%) - Disregarded, as cannot find Antonio race-start stats

It might me more fair to compare win percentages or something like that.

Did you convert the point system to a base level?

Ie, 10 points instead of 25, gotta weigh it out.

Makes zero sense given that the points awarded for each position have changed so drastically over time.

What about Rolf and Michael Schumacher? I know Rolf brings the stats down a bit, but then so does Antonio Ascari! :)

I didn't know that 'Rolf' and Michael were father and son!

You mean he didn't enter any F1 races? Neither did Antonio Ascari (as recognised in the OP by giving him zero WDC points). Rolf would be the same.

Jacques BAR years trashed the Villeneuve stats...

On all 3 counts, the Hills come out on top. Accurate?

No, he was not a racing driver. He was a bricklayer.

Didn't he run a kart track? In any case, I don't see why Michael should be dragged down by Rolf's lack of speed.

Rather than statistically, I'd look at it as a team event, in which case the families with weaker sons would fall down the list.

i.e. The Piquet, Andretti and Brabham families.

That leaves Hill, Rosberg and Villeneuve (and Ascari I suppose) as the real contenders.
Hard to say, has to be Hill I guess, and a toss-up for second and third, for my money.

There's so many Andretti's out there, but Michael never won a race, let alone 7. His best result was 3rd.

Didn't need to either, they still have the most points.
