LOL- Webber & Massa two abreast into the pitlane forming a bit of a roadblock on entrance to the chicane.

I mean Nico looked very mediocre last year in those conditions while this year he´s flying once the track is wet.

Track might get dry enough to strap on the revised tires?
Or maybe they won't bother with not very long left

Rosberg mentioned in the driver PC that the W04 is very good in rainy conditions, and he would actualy prefer a rainy weekend.

No doubt Rosberg will pole it. Question is if he will go backwards or not.

Rosberg is already running the high fuel times we can expect in the race on his inters.

Not that major. Was on a flyer on the backstraight and Webber and Massa were ridiculously slow going into the pits, so for some reason instead of backing off Hamilton kinda took to the grass on the inside, and very close to the wall, and then across the chicane humps.

And not only this year. Some people were just blind not to see it.

Nice lap by Vettel on inters,he is currently faster then Rosberg by more then half a second... :)
He did set his fastest lap on 12 lap old inters! So I am happy with his performance and also red bull, because I know when vettel is good in practice he has a good chance to challenge for the pole.

Looks like the Torro Rosso out on the evaluation tyre - no markings on side walls

Baffled why teams are going out on the evaluation tyre. They have to give a set of mediums back at the end of this session so it makes more sense to use them now and ask the FIA/Pirelli for discretion and for the teams to use them in FP2 instead, but because some teams have bolted them on, that's unlikely to happen. It would mean a lot more running.

If FP2 is dry the teams have missed a trick regarding tyre usage

Looks cold. I think it will be hot on Sunday and it won't rain until after the race.
Edit: watch out for beavers.

Brundle says the Merc looks mighty again, if they sort out their tyre wear then they have a title challenging car no doubt about it.

Traction and performance on one lap and tyre wear over a race distance goes hand in hand, and it is unlikely that Mercedes can keep their advantage for a quali lap ("leaning heavily on the rear tyres" as they called it on Sky, and thus having superior traction on fresh tyres) and keeping tyres in check over a race distance.

Edit: Nico already the rears as we speak...

Vettels last sector is very good. Mark lost 3 tenths to him there, Perez and Kimi both .5 of a second

Word. Have they learned nothing from the original version of The Thomas Crown Affair? Split screens are bullshit.

Screw you SKY! Why to show stupid pit ongoing side by side with Bottas helmet camera? What a stupid director!

It wipes out half the screen space. I got so annoyed by it I switched over to BBC 3 - and that's not something I want to do very often

Like how Button cut the last chicane and found the gap round the side of the speed bump. And a helmet cam on Bottas, we haven't seen one of those for a while. It's always interesting, even if the picture quality is awful.

Yes but I am worried about qualy pace. The red bulls need to find that 0.4 tenths of a second.Unless they were running more fuel.Ferrari are traditionally running less fuel in practice...

WEB & VET don't seem to be doing a 1st stint because they are in the 1'18s
Actually the others are in the 1'19s so I might be wrong, strangely small gap between quali times and long stint times

Let's not forget teams did 2 runs on their qual run, and will only do one in real qualifying, so that will slightly help the likes of Mercedes etc
