Hamilton " I seem to be on it more this weekend, tyres on the long runs seem a bit better..."

actually, he did a 30.5 on his fastest lap, but did a 30.1 before.

Vettel could not hook up all his best sectors together onto a single lap. P1 will definitely be in the 1m13s region.

The track temperature probably flatters the tyres today.

L Hamilton 20.705 [2] 24.042 [3] 29.964 [1] 1:14.711
F Alonso 20.656 [1] 24.020 [2] 30.063 [2] 1:14.739
S Vettel 20.804 [5] 23.926 [1] 30.112 [3] 1:14.842

Reminds of last year a bit because 4th is a bit further back (Grosjean with a 1'15''0x)

Alonso always runs closer to a true quali sim on the Friday so I reckon it looks close between Merc and RB although I Merc definitely favourites again.

Huh thank god I really thought vettel was so far from the pace, but now I see that hamilton and vettel were actually pretty close together in Practice 2.
Dont now about alonso but he looks also quick, mostly in the race pace...

Really wish Sky would stop with this split screen nonsense, it's not very good.

I watch here in the States on my tv NBCSports, and also on my computer tuned into Sky which I feel has a much better overall production.
NBCSports interminable commercial breaks has really made me come to appreciate Sky, but their over use of these split screens really need to be recuced.

It looks as though Lewis may starting to be getting a handle, on his breaking problems.

I dont mind the split screens as it means we dont miss the action while they do an interview or something but I would rather they didnt use the 50-50 type , how about a 80%-20% so we still get a decent size screen to watch the race

The FIA have updated the map. The detection zone is way before the hairpin now, unlike in the first map where the detection zone is after the hairpin.

It looks good for Alonso, but let's wait and see. I am curious about Mercedes. It will be interesting to see how much they could reduce the cars tyre wear since Barcelona.

"Saturday Canada: Damp start from o'night rain, but should dry out. Remaining o'cast today with chance of light rain/drizzle. Max 20c/68f"

Looks like a decent chance they won't need inters/wets

The start of the session has been delayed due to barrier repairs at Turn 1. #F1

This is exactly the info I was looking for. Good stuff.

This delay due to repairs to barriers is more NASCAR than F1, eh?

Canada wont be a great indicator of that. I think Silverstone will be their big test.

Giedo informed, "The rules say there cannot be less than 2 hours between FP3 and Qualifying, so they shorten FP3"

45 minute session I think :(

What kind of rule dictates the time between practice and quali? What could possibly be the purpose of that rule. Ridiculous.

Yeah! Imagine making sure there is sufficient time for a track inspection between sessions - I'm disgusted. And making sure teams have time to check and fix cars between session - don't they know there is a TV audience to please.

What the hell was that Perez doing? Slowing down in the racing line and spoiling the lap time of all other cars behind him.
