Early Zolder 24 Hours results & photos

I am currently looking for results (and ideally photgraphs, if possible) of the early Zolder 24 Hours races, and wonder if any fellow TNFers may be able to help in this respect please? I own a Chevrolet Camaro which I believe competed in at least one of the early editions of the race, and am putting together a detailed log of every race in which it competed "in period".
All internet searches have thus far been unsuccesful, the circuit website makes little reference to the early races, and even the hugely knowledgable Frank de Jong has been unable to assist with anything on this occasion- which leads me to believe that this is a truly "specialist interest" enquiry!
I believe the inaugural race was in 1983, but any further information relating to the 1983-1986 races would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

You could try contacting Jean Paul Delsaux who has written several books on the history of Belgian motor races, I think one of them was about Zolder.
His e-mail should be j.p.d@skynet.be

Many thanks Peter - I will certainly drop him a line.
I suppose that - in a country where Spa has always been the "senior" 24 Hour race - it is perhaps understandable that Zolder has to play second fiddle, although I am still slightly surprised by how little information there is on the internet about the early races.
My quest continues however. In the meantime, I would be interested to hear from anyone else who is able to throw any further light on my query.

Actually it will be the 35th edition this year
That's interesting. According to Wikipedia (!) the race was first run in 1983, but after searching a bit further it looks as if it was actually first run in 1977, and has run every year since apart from 1988. I think that perhaps the confusion arises from the fact that 1983 was the first time the race was run by Circuit Zolder themselves.
My car competed in the Spa 24 Hours in 1981, 82 and 83, so it would be perhaps reasonable to assume that its participation at Zolder ran concurrently.
I have contacted Jean Paul Delsaux and am awaiting a reply, but as ever if anyone else is able to throw any light on the early events then I would be interested to hear from you.
