Best Driver: Lewis fighting with that car

Dull for being Canada, which is usually a 9-10.

9 for me. Only -1 for tyres being too durable. Drivers pushing, different strategies. Di Resta running 57 laps on same tyres was odd tbh. Still pretty enjoyable race, no one racing to delta.

But for mother of god, dont "improve" tyres on safety reasons. Ferrari and Lotus will be ****ed up with kevlar belt as well

then we didn't watch the same race

Drivers pushing from the first to the final lap around a great circuit. Pirelli and DRS neutralised. Couldn't ask for more.

5, huge gaps between front runners for most of the race ruined a potential great race. Alonso bridging these gaps saved the race.

Vettel easily best driver.
Van der Garde worst driver, he was totally asleep in the hairpin incident.
RBR best team. Great car, great pitstops.
Best overtake... can´t really think of a good one now, most were drive by passes.
Best moment Bottas and Räikkönen showing it´s possible to go side by side through T3-4 if the guy inside respects the guy on the outside and gives him room on the second part of the chicane.
DRS zones should be pushed towards the start of the straights and get to an end way before braking zones. It should be active from 3rd gear speed range to 6th gear speed range. Otherwise it produces drive by passes. It should help getting normal slipstream, not help getting alongside and past.
Tyres were OK, maybe yellow soft should be in for medium but still OK.

I rather enjoyed that.
Best drivers: Paul di Resta for making the one stop work that well, Alonso for maximising the result, Vettel for doing what he was supposed to. I don't agree with Sakae re- Vettel not having the fastest car - at worst it was second best and close to Ferrari, but with position he was in at the start, it didn't matter.
Best moment: nothing that would stand out.. Sutil's 360 was nice, and there were some nice battles throughout...
Best overtake: Can't remember a non-DRS one.. So I'm gonna go with FA on Lewis. Used the DRS strategically perfectly, not forcing the issue at the last turn, but rather set the move for T1.
DRS: If I forget my general dislike for DRS rule and especially the zones here, it was definitely less noticeable than I feared it would be. But I dunno.. I can't really cheer when two drivers are engaged in a close battle and then a push of a button decides it.
Tyres: pretty much what I want to see from Pirelli. Yes, they went off after a while, but the drivers could still push. And as Di Resta proved, there was a chance of a different strategy.

Overall, a fun race, some very nice battles throughout the field, but the DRS and lack of a battle for the lead (+ maybe my dislike of the winner - esp. when looking at it championship wise) push it down to an 8/10 for me.

Gave it a 7. Engaging, high-quality racing and nice to see the drivers on the limit, but no real fight for the win prevented it from being a classic.
Best driver: Vettel, honourable mentions to Di Resta & Vergne
Worst driver: VDG, Sutil had scrappy races
Best Team: Red Bull
Best overtake: Alonso on Hamilton. Also enjoyed some of Massa's early on
Best moment: See above
DRS + Tyres: Think DRS was pretty much spot on today. As for tyres, well, it did have a 'pure' feel to it which was refreshing even if the race wasn't really a classic.
And the race in a sentence: In a word - Vettel

And the race in a sentence... Steady, for Canada

Good race. 8/10

Best Driver Vettel
Worst Driver Van Der Garde
Best Team Red Bull
Best Overtake Alonso on Hamilton
Best Moment - Watching the side view from Hamilton's front wing while Alonso overtook him. Love such close up shots which show the relative speeds between cars overtaking

Wanted to see a closer race for the win, but Vettel came up with his usual trick. Very 2011-ish in terms of Vettel doing his own thing at the front while there was some pretty good action behind.

Canada tends to produce the "opposite" effect in the tyres. More than usual number of pit stops with the super durable Birdgestones in 2010 and less than usual with the Pirelli this year.

Decent race, 6/10.

Best Driver: Alonso. He was a bit behind after the start, having to put a bit more effort into passing Bottas than Rosberg and Webber had done, but fought back to an impressive 2nd. It was mighty close with Hamilton a few times. Thankfully nothing bad came of it.
Worst Driver: Giedo van der Garde. Bumping into one of the leaders is bad enough, but to drive around half the circuit with a wing stuck under your car shows extremely poor judgement.
Best Team: Red Bull.
Best Overtake: Massa had a few nice ones around the track. Can't remember one in particular that stood out, though.
Best Moment: Massa's first dozen or so laps were quite enjoyable, and it was nice to see most of it on the broadcast.
DRS + Tyres: DRS has always been a bit overdone in Canada. It's still a silly gimmick, but on tracks like this it does serve its purpose. Tyres seemed decent enough, there was a variety of strategies that all seemed to work somewhat.
And the race in a sentence: Enjoyable race, but hopefully the dominant form of Red Bull and Vettel isn't the start of a boring second half of the season.

I think I might be a bit different to some of the views here but I found the race really boring....4/10 tops. The overtakes weren't that exciting with DRS making it easy.

Gave it 7/10

Best Driver Seb Vettel
Worst Driver VDG
Best Team Force India
Best Overtake I guess Alonso on Hamilton, but the DRS factor detracts a bit from it.
Best Moment Hearing the radio message that the McLaren drivers were free to race each other. Sadly did not materialize into what I was hoping for.
DRS + Tyres Why the double DRS? Tyres were fine, so nice to see drivers actually pushing, cars sliding etc.
And the race in a sentence... Utter dominance by the current world champion

Total snooze fest for me. Spent a good portion trying to figure what the new road bits where down by the back straight.. finally found out it was for the casino.

Its funny how people's perceptions are different, many bemoaned the Monaco race which I enjoyed and it seems vice versa for this one.

Nah, since they picked their braking points the outcome was clear, far from a thrill.

Rosberg did it in a much more beatiful and exciting way last year if you like seeing people past your nemesis. That was a nice pass.

Best Moment: watching Vettel pull away from everyone (obvious sarcasm here)

1/10... worst Canada GP I have seen in the last 14 years. Never seen such huge gaps after just 10-15 laps.

It was boring. Too large performance gaps between the cars. Lack of dry running and poor setups for half of the field the probable reason. Tyre consistency didn't help either.

For a pass to be good, I like to see the cars going side by side into the corner. When a driver fully clears the other under braking and then takes the full width of the track and the racing line all through a corner is an easy pass. Rosberg´s pass last year was really good, it´s not often you see cars managing to go side by side through there, both adjusted their speed really well to go fast and respect the rival alongside.

And my nemesis? Wow, man. Its just laughable at this point.

Everyday it goes by you know better the people you have contact with, you get more chances to see how people reacts to different events (like an incident where it´s clear cut to see who was in the wrong) when it affects different drivers. So by now, after all this time here reading what people has to say when so much different stuff happens, it´s already become pretty clear what everyone´s game around here is.

Best Driver There were several Seb, for an all and all good race. Alonso for making up as many places as I predicted, Hamilton for holding out in the Mercedes. Massa for coming into the points from so far back. etc.
Worst Driver Giedo van der Garde
Best Team mh hard to say, RB or Ferrari
Best Overtake the only one I really remember is the one in the beginning where 2 people at once overtook Bottas, can't really remember who tho
Best Moment Seb crossing the finishing line at P1 (:p maybe thats just a personal best moment)
DRS + Tyres at last tyres didnt seem to dominate everything as much anymore

That was actually a very boring race which is a huge disappointment for Montreal. Having been in attendance for the exceptional 2010 race I am happy to have sat this one out.

It is hard to understand that the exciting 2010 race was the model for the Pirelli tire formula and now these same tires it seems have made Montreal one of the most boring races on the calendar.

Worst Driver Noone really that bad. VdG crashed into Webber, Sutil ignored blue flags, but that's tiny mistakes.
Best Team Noone impressed me. Red Bull was just fastest.
Best Overtake Alonso on Hamilton
Best Moment Ham coming back at Alonso, really thought he can pull this move off

The good thing about the race was that drivers were actually pushing and not only taking care of the tyres all of the race. However, the gaps between the cars were a bit too big and the passes a bit too easy in my opinion, which is why I didn't give a higher rating. It's a huge step up from pure tyre saving exercises though.

Best Driver - Vettel/Massa (he had wars on track)
Worst Driver - van der Garde.
Best Team - Red Bull
Best Overtake - Alonso on Hamilton and the whole sequence leading up to the overtake and the mini battle subsequent to it
Best Moment - When Alonso finally got the go ahead to push (still flabbergasted by the decision to base strategy around a probable safety car)
DRS + Tyres - Don't think DRS should be used around Canada and they went a step to far with prime tyre. Di Resta did more than 3/4 GP on a set of medium tyres...

The field spread was very large for Canada though. 6
