Can anyone assist with information about Rodolfo Haller, sometimes referred to as Rudi Haller?

He seems to have competed between 1948 and 1950, driving Healeys, Frazer Nashes and Lancia Aprilias. He competed in the Mille Miglia, co-driving with Nick Haines in 1948 and 1950 (Healey and Jaguar) and Dorino Serafini in 1949 (Frazer Nash). He also competed in the Targa Florio and the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti, amongst others.

Any more info as to who he was, and what he did, would be very welcome.

Thanks

Chris

And before that....
Drove Alfas before the War, in the 1937 Benghazi-Tripoli race and the following year's Mille Miglia, finishing second in class on both occasions, and also placing in hillclimbs. In 1939 a series of hillclimbs for the Volante d'Argento was run, and Haller in s Lancia Aprilia was one of its most successful competitors

In spite of his Germanic-sounding surname, he seems to have been Italian, and I too would like to know something more of his background

Thanks for that, David. I had a feeling I had read somewhere that he was pretty successful in hillclimb events, but cannot find anything in any of my reference books, or on the internet. We shall have to see if any more information is forthcoming through the Forum. If I find anything else from other sources I will let you know. Chris
