Really hope he recovers. Still can't believe he's only ever been made an OBE and not Sir Murray Walker.
Seconded.

I hope he recovers too but let's not forget he's pushing 90, so it has to be a case of hope not expectation.
I, too, fail to understand why he hasn't been knighted. Although, to be fair, he hasn't bankrupted any major banks or groped any underage girls on national television so perhaps that explains it.

Sad news, wishing him all the best for a full and speedy recovery, a genuine motorsport legend and all round top bloke.

Holy banana! First the thread title, then hovering over, just revealed "sad news". I don't think I've ever been that afraid for clicking on a forum link here.
Yes, same thing happened to me.

The fall may turn out to have been a blessing in disguise by the sound of it.
Let's hope so.

Perhaps we can start a trend of referring to him as Sir Murray and hope it catches on.

Bad news, but its good they've caught it early, its treatable and he is said to be in good spirits.
89 is a grand age and if he pulls through as we all hope he will, it will just add to the legend of his positive, indomitable spirit.

I think you should edit the thread title. As PorcupineTroy said, seeing Murray Walker's name on its own followed by a 'sad news' link creates the wrong impression.Sad news: https://twitter.com/...665198179999744

I can only add my best wishes - Interestingly, nothing on Autosport's web page on the subject, but we do now know that Jake Hill is to make his BTCC debut...
Out of the sensitivity deserved of a very well respected man, I am sure.

I wish Murray at least a 100 years - and that he may defeat the cancer! His energy is still so youthful and exuberant that it should carry him through this period.
Get well soon, Murray!!!

They need to clone Murray Walker, this way all English speaking countries should have he, and Martin Brundle as the commentators for F1 forever.
Splendid idea!
Anything can happen in Grand Prix Racing and it usually does!
