It was fine. She very pointedly asked me yesterday evening "if there are any races you don't want to miss next weekend."BTW - I missed any update. How did it work out for OLB and his fuming girlfriend last night?

Trucks are running Thursday night, Nationwide Friday night. Technically dear, you did say "weekend".It was fine. She very pointedly asked me yesterday evening "if there are any races you don't want to miss next weekend."
Good luck with that OLB...

Not in a schadenfreude, Jp hexing, type way but out of sheer exasperation for the poor guy.

Lap 2: She loves me not
Lap 3: She loves me
But you can only do this during a race that in the past has made you both want to glue your ass to the seat and throw yourself under the next car by.

Brad Keselowski vs. NASCAR's Official Governing Body. What's the racing equivalent to picking off petals of a plant?

I think that's more like picking wings off bugs.

- plan vacations around a racing event and go to a race while on vacation with her - she will begin to appreciate racing more and become more interested since she will now associate racing with vacationing. If this is not possible then ..
- try and find a relative of your wife who lives close to a race track . Try to coordinate visiting her relatives and going to watch a race together..
- try and mix shopping with racing.. This one is tricky but doable. I now got my wife checking out the ferrari and RedBull catalogs for women's apparel.
- and the last one.. 24/7 weekend racing marathons will not be possible . They just won't. If one of you have a busy schedule during the week and the only quality time for each other is the weekends some compromises have to be done.

OLB, Here is some advice for Getting your GF into racing. I would say do this only if you think she is a keeper.

-You know we both went to our first ever real live NASCAR event last year at Vegas. But unfortunately I wanted to watch every practice and qualifying session as well as the N'wide race (we flew back Sat night so we missed the Cup race live). If it had just been the race maybe it would have flown better.
-meh I don't think that's possible
-Dude, what kind of jobs do you guys have that you can afford to let your wives shop for Ferrari gear? Or even use shopping as a bribe. I think I need to start my own business again eventually. Besides she's not that kind of girl (doesn't even wear makeup, wears sweats most of the times and jeans when she's dressing up.
WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE TELL ME THIS SOONER? I GIVE HER FOOT RUBS EVEN DURING GREENInvite her to watch with you and give foot rubs during cautions.

Er... have you tried... er... make her hate F1 so bad she will love Nascar?
If this doesn't work then drag her to one these threads and introduce us all niece chaps to her, it will be a perfect distraction while the resident bard/hexer Jp composes an hipnotic tune that will place her under a spell so powerfull she will have posters of every Pirelli compound on her room.

Nascar champ made a rookie mistake.Best and worst of Kurt Busch again. It was funny how they put on the audio of his team sternly telling him not to speed, then he gets busted not only on the pit stop but penalty as well Just not worth the risk, as happened to JPM at the Brickyard. With Truex finally getting a deserved win KB and JPM assume the snakebit finishers role. Also glad to see a (relatively) long green to finish it.
I found this pic quite interesting from some Crew Chief.
Interesting that 'Pit Road Speed' and 'Caution Car Speed' are slightly different, but enought to give him a punishment.
Is it like this in all oval circuits or just Sonomo ?

Not that it matters, but that looks hilariously amateurish, like it's something your fifth grade teacher would give you before a 2-week project outlining what you get marks for.

No it WAS vacation first. We planned a week in Vegas without even realizing there was a race there at the end. Once we were there I was like OH! Let's get tickets.@OLB : You really messed up in Vegas dude. You did the complete opposite which should have been vacation first, racing second.. lol. That set you several steps back.. hard to recover from that one.
That's why we did N'wide and not Cup, we flew back on Saturday night.

It seems that he knew the car was out of gas before the pit entry.I don't get it, why? First car one lap down vs last car on the lead lap?
So make a splash'n go and come back in the midfield.
I seems that se could finish better than 31st, however I don't have the time gaps

NO, he said 'I'm out of gas way before the pit entry'.I can't watch the video now.. but when he says over the radio. "You gotta be kidding me.. " isn't that when he was going up the hill after turn 1 - and that is past the pit entrance?
See just the first 10 sec. if you can.
