I wonder if anyone can help with the chassis numbers and any history of these two Talbot Lago T26C's
This one was at Silverstone Classic last year, I've misplaced my prog so am not sure who the entrant driver was.
This second one was seen at Race Retro.
Confusingly the car is labelled Lago Record, which I thought was a limousine, on the side ( )
BTW does anyone know how many T26C's were built ?
Relevant answers may be credited and used in a forthcoming blog.
Thanking you in anticipation of your responses.

According to the results this one was driven by Tania Pilkington.

I hope the link below works - if not Google Tony Bianchi Talbot Lago and click on the first search result.

Chassis number 110/057 Reg no WXE 68. The current body is a replica of the original 1½-seater, and in between times it was fitted with an all-enveloping body which was wrecked in an accident and the current body created by Richard Pilkington. As noted in the TOPS advert, owned by Richard since 1958. Details from 'Private Motor Car Collections of Great Britain' by Peter Hugo... so I assume it's the car which has been with the Pilkingtons for many years, and which is advertised here:

I'll do a separate post on the Pilkington T26 GS when I have some more pics of it.

I'm with you. It does not look anything like Mt Tarrengower at Maldon. Too flat, too green, totally different atmosphere. Nice set of photos though. The Calder ones seem to be of SS 1/4 rather than race meetings.

My father owned that car for a while 1956 to about 1959.

Bumping this thread for a related issue... Not too well versed in this matter, but my curiosity was sparked when seeing this car:

A 1947 body that very much looks like the 1955 F1 Bugatti T251. Does anyone know if there is an actual relation, either through people or inspiration?

Not sure about when the body appeared but the 1947 T26 chassis appears to predated Colombo's 1956 T251 by nearly a decade.
