I wonder how DDRS will work. And I'm most curious about the chance of racing it.
don't think rain will effect too much to that unless it's very heavy...the chances are 50% to race with it at the moment, it's complicated system and Lotus hasn't got it working in over year now, so let's hope they will now.

Stick the inters or wets on and put on a show for the immense fans that have turned out, it's going to be dry Saturday and Sunday, tyres are there to be wasted.
No need for them to all be in the garages...
it was suppose to be dry yesterday and it rained all day...who can say for sure saturday and sunday will be dry.

I have seen the forecast on BBC yesterday, massive band of rain today will clear and there are no bad weather fronts coming in over the UK until Sunday in NW Scotland.it was suppose to be dry yesterday and it rained all day...who can say for sure saturday and sunday will be dry.
Looks nailed on to be dry, cloudy, with sunny spells, 16 to 21 degrees, warmest on Sunday.

I'm very glad I didn't shell out the £65-75 for a Friday ticket, I'd have wasted my money! Not to mention the money for the car park, park and ride, fuel, food.....
I have got a three day ticket but will only be turning up for Sunday. Today Silverstone full-filled its stereotype by being wetter than Glastonbury. I pray the grounds will have dried by Sunday which looks to be a sunny 20 degrees.

They have excuses for everything. Quite simply the teams and race directors aren't confident in the drivers.Even the dudes at MotoGP run way, way more in a wet free practice session. F1 is too comfy for it's own good.

Just because. This is Motorsport. The fact their worried their world class drivers will bin it is hilarious. Its going to be just as bad in the afternoon so if you crash you arent even going to lose any time. Why would they run though? The rest of the weekend will be dry, why risk putting it in the wall and needing a whole rebuild? There is very little they can learn.

It speaks volumes. It's not as though they are on the limit anymore in the dry, is it?

They aren't there for us fans. If rest of the weekend will be dry there's no point to drive more than installation lap or two. There's nothing to be gained, but so much to lose if you crash. They'd also use up their engines and gear boxes for no reason.Just because. This is Motorsport. The fact their worried their world class drivers will bin it is hilarious. Its going to be just as bad in the afternoon so if you crash you arent even going to lose any time.

I was at Suzuka when a typhoon hit there and washed a whole day out. ¬_¬I'm very glad I didn't shell out the £65-75 for a Friday ticket, I'd have wasted my money! Not to mention the money for the car park, park and ride, fuel, food.....
You guys still get to see cars running! ◣_◢
