Lewis ran Q1 & 2 on the same set of tyres so should have a spare set.
I don't know if Nico did the same or not.

No. Mercs: 2 used sets of Mediums. 1 very used set of mediums. 3 new hards.does anyone know if any of the drivers from the top teams have a fresh set of medium tyres?
Red Bulls: 3 used mediums, 1 used hard, 2 new hards.

I think Lewis does and possibly Nico too.

I don't know if Nico did the same or not.
didn't they use the 2 extra mediums for each of the 2 runs in Q3 ?
what of Alonso. I think he only did 1 run in Q3 so he might have a fresh set

Force India really took over McLaren shambles this season, isn't it?
I'm not expecting McLaren to give up without a fight

Alonso gets lucky once again...
Clean side of the grid, is it? And that put Jenson on the dirty side as well....

Alas I am. They seem totally lost, might as well just look to next year. Get Whitmarsh out while they can too.I'm not expecting McLaren to give up without a fight
Awesome lap from Lewis today, Jenson made a brave effort - out qualified Perez for the first time since Bahrain and nearly made Q3. Shame about DiResta, seems to be more to that story though. Ferrari look in deep trouble, Massa should just go home now.

Rules need amending so that if you can't be docked the full 5 or 10 places because you qulify too near the back, you get a different punishment instead. Maybe you have to start in pitlane, and maybe you get held at the end of pitlane for some extra seconds after the pack has passed the pit exit to compensate for the places you couldn't be docked? Otherwise it makes a mockry of the stewards. They probably debated at length in Montreal whether to give Van er Garde 5 places or 10, as if it makes a gnat's piss worth of difference...
EDIT: My mistake, van der Garde outqualified Chilton but will start behind him. But seeing as Chilton can barely keep the thing pointing in the right direction, I suspect he may not find it too much of a handicap and may still manage to find a way past... Either way it's not much given the stewards meant to penalise him 10 places.

No, he did 2 runs.
No, they used 2 fresh sets(both RB and Merc) in Q3. No fresh sets for the race.
