Bravo, sir!Even someone who looks as constipated as Paul di Resta isn't dropping 3lbs of **** in a go. That's what forums are for.

I'm dying to see his reaction in his next interview... I expect him to go fully berserk this time.
We won't hear from him until tomorrow, so we will only hear a pragmatic racing driver.

Unlikely. He's used more fresh tyres than he did in Monaco and Canada, because he's done Q2 and Q3 this time.I'm looking forward to see him fighting his way through the field.

Usually these things are black and white but there is some question mark re the calibration of the FIA scales
I don't really get it. Surely every driver was checked on the same device?

well get back to weight within few hours isnt hard. I can be within one day 83-87 kgApparently there was a discrepancy with the FIA scales when the first measurement was taken (it showed them 2kg underweight not 1.5 as was later established using actual weights) and now Di Resta's weight has returned to normal. Weird. Force India considering an appeal.

Force India has ruled out an appeal over Paul di Resta's exclusion, so he will start from the back of the grid tomorrow.
Will be interesting to see what actually went on here. Sad way to lose about 10 points

Even worse to be the journalist who has to go to FI and ask "did di Resta have the mother of a **** this morning?"@adamcooperf1: "BTW Force India sources confirm that @pauldirestaf1 did not do a big poop between FP3 and qualy so that doesn't explain it..."

My understanding was the scale showed just under 2kg when car drained of fuel but there is a 0.5kg allowance for accuracy of scale so the 'charge' was 1.5kg.

Well, yes, they do, however they only have fluids for about 24 hours before the weigh in and after that they pig out on carbs so they're ready for the fight the following day, which can lead to massive difference in weigh, Ricky Hatton was the most noticeable i can remember for this.

Unfairly blaming the team in public is never a good idea. Correctly blaming the team in public is arguably an even worse idea. His race engineer doesn't go on telly with his telemetry trace and point out and complain about all his mistakes, does he?
Also, did Di Resta query his weight with the scrutineers at the weighbridge? Because normally when you see the drivers getting weighed, they take interest in the reading, so they obviously know what they're expecting to see. If they're lighter than expected, presumably they can ask to be weighed again, or for the calibration of the scales to be checked. I've no idea if that would have made any difference, but if he was 1.5kg lighter than he was supposed to be and he walked away without questioning it, that's not good.

If a driver doesn't complain about so many teams cock-ups he doesn't really deserve to be there. Can't imagine Lewis or Vettel keeping quiet if it happened to them.

Wonder just how many millions FI have lost towards next years travel budget so far this year as a result of team screw ups - certainly a lot more than can be blamed on the drivers.

Not sure how this is their fault though?

The team would have collected data and know the average weight of PdR's bowel movements and factored that into the weight calculation plus a margin of safety, say a variance of a half a kilo (about a hand full) or so depending if he had alot of cheese vs a feed of chili on a given day. So obviously a team mistake, someones head should roll for doing crap calculations!

And all to be taken with a huge pinch of salt. It could be a simple human error of the team noting his weight down incorrectly, or miscalculation.
