Was thinking today when the fresh tires sweeped by the old tires without resistance that it would have been more interesting if Sutil, Kimi and the others on old tires could have put up a fight. DRS is good to break up static situations, but if the strategies are different, the statics are already broken up. What is your thoughts

Or you could make things simpler and just do away with the gimmicks.

Right.

Gimmicking the use of a gimmick is just going to lead to confusion.

That would be my first choice. Still, they'd need to change the aero regs in that case. I seriosuly do not understand why they did not go that route. Instead they have this idea that racing is better if they use the horsepowers to press the car down rather than to move it forward.

Many, many threads with reasons. Basically too much vested interest and investment.

That's the thing - it is a dead end investment. More energy, more noise, nothing you can really use for developing better personal transport vehicles. Spending millions of dollars on polishing a design that basically belong to 1976 is not a solid investment.

Just adjust the zones. They went into overkill mode with the double zones around every circuit. Some circuits donĀ“t even need DRS zones. Be open minded, double zone for Hungary is OK, double zone today or in Canada was nonsense.
