Nico Rosberg expected that the new tyre regulations could shuffle the order a bit, whilst Pirelli claimed nothing would really change.

However, we've seen Mercedes going backwards again like before their secret tyre test. Also, based on yesterday's race there's more. Force India seems to have fallen back a bit, which Bob Fernley confirmed.

Force India's Bob Fernley admits the tyre changes currently being implemented for safety reasons are "not healthy" for the team's performance.

Fernley, the team's Deputy Team Principal, was speaking after the German Grand Prix, in which Paul di Resta and Adrian Sutil both finished out of the points for the first time this season.

And Sauber were suprisingly fast yesterday, whereas they were nowhere for the majority of the races this season. Again, the championship seems to be influenced, though this time for safety reasons.
