According to Hans Etzrodt's list of hillclimb winners on Leif Snellman's site, there was an event run on 7th October 1924 at Korketrekken (Frognersæteren, near Oslo), won by Leif Mathiesen driving a 2-litre Bugatti T30 in a time of 2 min 36.8 sec. The course was 2.1 km in length.

The Korketrekkeren is a gravel road near to Frognersaeteren and the famous Holmenkollen ski arena, in the hills to the north-west of Oslo. Its name translates as the Corkscrew, and it was used for hill-climbs both for cars and motorcycles for some years. It also saw some fierce downhill non-motorized competition during the winters, both on skis and other fearsome devices. My grandfather, H.C. Knutsen, took part on his 'bike, and I also believe he drove his 1926 Chevrolet in the hill climb, as well as racing on the nearby Bjerkebanen horse-trotting track. In the winter, there were lots of races on frozen lakes, like Gjersjoen and Oestersjovann.
