There were much Grand Prix races, that never come true:

- There were planes of a Grand Prix in Zuhai in the late 90s
- A Grand Prix in Rome for 2014
- A Grand Prix in Thailand for 2014
- A Grand Prix in San Francisco in the late 90s
- A Grand Prix in Indonesia in the late 90s
- A race in Moscow in the mid 80s.

The New York GP made it onto the calendar several times in the early 80s, which at least meant a convenient gap in the schedule opened up for a European circuit when it was inevitably cancelled. I think a Rome GP was mooted at that time as well.

Warwick Farm, under ex-BARC man Geoff Sykes, always had a World Championship GP as part of its grand plan...

In 1969 plans began in earnest and the AGP for 1970 was scheduled to be held as a stand-alone event, out of the Tasman Cup series, for F5000 and other classes. This was to show the viability of a World Championship race and to ensure they qualified (in those days it was required to hold a race a year before before having a WDC event) to be included in the series.

The date chosen was in a part of the calendar at that time not used for any rounds of the World Championship.

However, it all came to nothing. The 1971 race was again a stand-alone race for F5000 etc.

New York? How about York?

1949, I think. It never happened, but Red went onto bigger fame in Nassau.
