There's also a few F1 bits in the show, I know there was a feature filmed in Milton Keynes' streets at the weekend featuring a Williams, Lotus and Red Bull. Should be good!

As with the interview, should be worth a listen. Clarkson won't be afraid to ask some of the questions the F1 press might, and Webber will be less inclined to use the PR lines.
I just hope he's slower than Seb though

Mark? It's a 'best of British' episode to end the series. I know because I'm genuinely in it, I'm driving a vehicle in it very briefly.

Stig. I knew it!Mark?

I hope he's faster. As Vettel consistently outperformed Webber over a single lap, if Webber is faster than Vettel on Top Gear, it would completely rubbish the strange notion some people have that the drivers' results in non-F1 series/cars have a direct correlation with their relative success/performance in F1. Comparing incomparable.I just hope he's slower than Seb though

Nice.I did the driving at my factory, basically they're doing set up shots to show vehicles going round the factory and our test site before leaving for London, where the feature will start. I didn't go to London but my colleagues did.

But it would support the notion that Red Bull have been favouring Vettel all these years.I hope he's faster. I'm sure that any result can be interpreted in favour or against Hamilton, Vettel and Webber depending on what you like to see.But it would support the notion that Red Bull have been favouring Vettel all these years.

I'm pretty sure what F1 drivers do in a single lap of a Reasonably-Priced Car has nothing to do with F1 at all. Just bragging rights and there's nothing wrong with that.
What? I'm pretty sure that an underpowered car with no downforce and a manual gearbox is the best indicator we have of how a driver will do in F1. I'm surprised that Jay Kay isn't contracted by Caterham, yet.

I can remember some people from hereabouts quite seriously equating Kovalainen's Race of Champions win with an absolutely certain F1 championship....I'm pretty sure what F1 drivers do in a single lap of a Reasonably-Priced Car has nothing to do with F1 at all. Just bragging rights and there's nothing wrong with that.

So Hamilton and Webber lapped the circuit twice. Seb needs another run.

So it could be more that there is a conspiracy there at RB? Could have Webber be sabotaged with all those KERS problems and other mishups? He made a fantastic time. Wonder what Nando and Kimi could have done here on dry track.
Yes, I'm sure than Webber is 9 tenths faster that Vettel in all conditions but Red Bull have managed to hide it since 2009
I think it's pretty clear that this lap times are meanigless when it comes to F1 but I'm sure that Webber is happy to beat Vettel at least here

I spy with my little eye another racing driver beginning with M! Mitch Evans to be precise, to the right of Jezza.

Webber just confirmed that he is everything what I thought about him, which is not much. Top Gear is becoming nothing more than a trashy program.
You're just angry he trashed Vettel's time.

You can see how concentrated he was while doing the lap
#46
Posted 04 August 2013 - 22:10
why?
Afaik he was still under contract to Ferrari, which stipulated he was only allowed to drive cars manufactured by the FIAT group

anyway yeaaah... I like what rasul quoted of himself... :p this is not different than to Lewis beating Sebs time... earlier this year... :p it says nothing...
after all Mark wasn't able to beat Seb in the SAME CAR over 3 seasons at least :p (and they did race at the same day there different than to Top Gear!).... and now yeah I know what comes now conspiracy theories
