I havent Followed NASCAR very closely for a few months, is there a rather massive dirty air problem?
not really. New cars are a bit more nervous but teams getting to grips.
Pocono isn't a plate track but is very quick, hard to follow closely.
BTW "Apple Ale", thats cider then ?
hey rghojai other than sitting in a very large oven hows it going?

They saw at that wheel quite a bit so the closer it is to the body, the more leverage they can bring to bear and the more control they have.Nascar crashes always look so casual onboard.
Why are they all sat directly on top of the wheel? must be bitch to sit like that for three hours.
You'll also notice the wheels themselves are quite large.

That said, it still should be cut to one race a year.

This was 1000 times better than the previous Pocono and Indy.

Agreed. Somehow Pocono produced a good race today. Gordon and Kahne's duel in the final laps was great. I thought Gordon finally had gotten himself a win with that hard drive on the 2nd to last restart but Kenseth had to go ahead and ruin it by spinning himself out racing in the back of the pack. Poor Jeff. He's tried so hard this year and something always happens. Could be worse. He could be Hamlin (I swear someone put a voodoo hex on him). And that move Kahne pulled on the final restart, bravo. I have no clue how he got that car to stick. Most of the time when you see a guy hold it that open into the turn, they wash up the race track. Great racing there for the win

Bowyer and Edwards really are a quiet 2-3 in the points, but that's the system for you, hardly for the first time....
Looking forward to next week after some of these recent tracks. Got to be nervous with many good teams clustered around the bubble spot. Some will probably just hope to get through while others may go for broke with the opportunity to steal a win.

Yeah, the good old days, when the margin of victory was measured in laps, not seconds or tenths of seconds.NASCRAP at its finest....another snoozefest.....where in the hell are Tiny Lund, David Pearson and the likes when you need them?
