It has been announced that Jim Parker, ACU Chairman of Events, has passed away yesterday following a car crash some weeks ago. RIP.

Car crash? I was told on Tuesday morning that he had died on Monday evening after being poorly in hospital for a couple of weeks, I thought it was due to general ill health I didn't know he'd had an accident.
He was certainly a one off, I raced with the club in the 70's & 80's and in those days was quite scared of Jim, you certainly didn't argue with him!! but I had a couple of discussions with him in later years at the TT and found him to be a very helpful guy.
