Shocking abuse of track limits there.  I am sure I saw Amon kick up dust by putting 1mm of tyre over the line!  Mind you , with photographers standing there, drivers needed to be careful.  Collecting some overweight snapper could have seriously compromised their race.

Having used the old track to get to and from our camp site during the Spa Classic, the big impression is how little has changed on that part of the circuit, and how stupendously dangerous it must have been.  Also the changes off track around La Source are almost unimaginable.  What was then rough grass and rubble is now Bernie's deepressingly soulless pleasure palace.

Chase Carey, Ross Brawn, Jean Todt et al, would do well to watch this clip for a few handy hints. Pure Motor Racing.

They don't need to according to a story up on the Racing Comments forum. Fans of F1 have indicated a desire for more "High octane street racing" and that is what is to be served up in the near future.

Only 13 entrants at the previous race in France. Try telling that to the young people of today ...

I recall Mike Cooper telling me about this, just 13 starters on the 5 mile Charade or if you prefer Clermont Ferrand circuit in 1969, long periods of nothing, let alone the narrow roads and stone filled verges.
