The Concours of America at St. John's in Plymouth, MI (successor event to Meadow Brook Hall) had a decent selection of racecars this year. So here's a gallery:

Nice stuff as usual, Magoo. The Packard is sweet, and gotta love the number of old stock cars on hand, even that fugly Tyner Pontiac. The No. 7 Superbird has been in the infield at past Millers at Milwaukee, too, although of course not doing laps on the Mile.

Thanks for the kind words.

I wonder if I could impose on all you experts...anyone have any further info on the gorgeous red Fiat above? There was no placard at the show.

Also, the gray 1916 Packard racer above: the backstory to this car is the old "miraculous barn find in Paraguay after 70 years" thing. Forgive my horrible cynicism but is the story on the level in this case?

Hi again Magoo,

I believe this is the 1907 Fiat Targa Florio Racer owned by George Dragone of Bridgeport, CT.

It turned heads at the 2010 Ormond Beach Celebration and awarded the Most Historically Significant Race Car at 2010 Amelia Island.

btw: Any chance you may have taken some photos at the 2011 Concours of America 'Track Day'My car ran with several others from the Concours on the Michigan Superspeedway to celebrate the Indianapolis 500 Centennial and I don't have many on track photos.

The Plymouth Superbird is an ex-Ramo Stott car and is very original as stock cars go -- most are like Geo. Washington's hatchet.
