I wonder if any of the Indy guys could step in? Will Power perhaps? Seabass? Sato even?

I think drivers of large sloppy sedans would be best suited, the closest thing in a professional environment are V8 Supercars. The lack of downforce and big RWD power are a good match, going from an indycar to a stock car is gonna take a while to get used to at 10/10ths.

Since we pulling random names out the ass now with little regard for affiliation or logistics, I want to see Andrew Ranger in the car.

-K&N East/West road course victories
-ARCA road course victories
-Some top 10s on NW road courses in underfunded cars.
-Will be at the Glen this week for the NW race.

Edit: If Max Papis hadn't been scheduled for GRAND-AM at Road America this weekend, I'm quite certain it would have been him getting the call since he tested the car various times this year.

Apparently, Max Papis will forgo Grand-Am and fill in according various Twitter sources.

Also, according to Alan Cavanna (NASCAR writer), Stewart will need a 2nd surgery.

I don't think there has ever been a time in the past decade where you could even contemplate Max Papis replacing Tony Stewart. Even if he was injured.

This is why they invented the word incongruous.

He may have to do it next week, too, depending on if Regan is willing to travel.

That's Mid-Ohio next week, sir. I guess it's because he never raced there before.

Article about Stewart similar to Ross Stonefelds post above.

He never backed down, saying it was unfair to ask him not to live the way he wanted, to give up what at times he seems more passionate about than NASCAR.

Common sense is nothing more than group of people who agree with you, it has nothing to do with anything else.
It is his life and the opinion of no one else is more important in his life than his own, so all the self-righteous whining is just self-righteous whining.

There have been several business articles in the past few years about employers treating their employees like property, thank God Stewart will not let that happen to him.

It's not self-righteous, I'm not saying he's a bad human being. Just one prone to poor judgement. Which is a very Tony Stewart thing.

But like Tony, I guess you get through life on your talent. Because it sure aint your personality.

There are three opinions I value in life, God's, my parents and my own.

The second has joined the first, so that only leaves two.

Ron Fellows fans rejoice. He'll be driving the #33 in Cup.

Also, remember when Carl Edwards won the Subway 400 in his Subway car? Well, your cuz and mine is at it again. He's gone for a Cheez-It paint-scheme at WGI.

Fans at the track will also get the chance to meet Ronald McDonald ths weekend. He'll be driving the #32.
Come down and say hi, grab a Happy Meal, and listen as Ronald tells your kids how much of a "little pussy bitch" their dad is.

Or Boris vs Biffle II ("he'll show up with a black eye one of these days" after 2011)

Also a reminder that this track always has the potential for a massive accident.

Why can't they practice in the wet? Does that mean they're never, ever going to run Cup in a wet race?

Practice has been delayed, only the Busch Series brought rain tires. You will never see the Cup run in the wet.

The Cup cars don't have rain tyres, windshield wipers. I think the NNS cars also have a brake/wet light in the rear window, too, right?

Also, I would assume NNS practice WILL occur if it's raining, right?

I dunno. Winston Cup was supposed to practice at noon, while the Busch was supposed to go at 1:40, so I think they will just keep delaying the Busch Series because NASCAR hates me.
