 The new car is much better than the CoT. Ten drivers shattered the track record.

Kudos to the Tasmanian Devil for getting the pole on a RPM.

11th for Montoya. That is just terrible. He has no patience, he will tear that car up trying to get to the front. His teammate is 6th and his old crew chief is on the front row.

Monty is really starting to piss me off. What also pisses me off is that he sits and plays video games while the Nationwide race is on instead of trying to put a deal together to race.

Sarcasm?

No. Having a meltdown. Tired of making excuses for him. He needs to get his thumb out of his ass and produce. J-Mac drives for Big Chippy and he is going to beat Montoya again this season.

Do we really need Cupers polluting the picture on road courses as well?

This week I saw the 2012 and 2011 wild finishes.

The dominant drivers are Ambrose, Keselonski, KyBush... then Logano and JJ, IMO.

Yes. For the 100th time. No one cares to watch Sam Hornish Jr., Regan Smith and Elliot Sadler. They are Cup washouts.

The 2011 NW race was like that (in part thanks to a very low number of caution laps).

Kurt Busch
Jimmie Johnson
Joey Logano
Kyle Busch
Carl Edwards
Paul Menard
<~15 seconds>
Ron Fellows
<~30-40 seconds>
Aric Almirola
Trevor Bayne
Elliott Sadler
Joe Nemechek
<everyone else one or more laps down>

All laps were led by Kurt or Kyle. Sadly, the Nationwide regulars just aren't good road racers for the most part.

We should do an annual fundraiser to get Robby Gordon a ride on these weekends.

Anthony Gandon, driving the No. 23, was called to pit road before the race because he was leaking oil. He has yet to turn a lap. Gandon is the first French-born driver to run a NASCAR national series race since Claude Ballot-Lena in 1979.

Slow off pit lane, I think he's 3rd or worse.

PK doing okay too, picked up 2 places in the stop.

I think it's just obligatory to assume a driver is getting fired if he goes into the booth, rather than just assume that maybe some people like being commentators.

Piquet stuck behind road coarse ace Travis Pastrana in 13th.

Edit: Nevermind he finally passed him.

Pure speculation.
But...
Ganassi, as far as I know, has NO drivers under contract for next year in the Sprint garage.

JPM never winning in an oval in 6+ years has really closed his doors with the other top teams.
Is a shame really because he is been so close so many times but a win is a win And he has the worse luck of any driver that I have ever witnessed.

To a certain extent, that's JPM's fault. his loyalty to Chip is touching, but until this year with Chip getting them Hendricks engines, he's never had a car to contend anywhere near the top ten. His first contract w/ Chip was a two year deal, and at one point towards the end of that contract, he had some interest from Gibbs, but JPM stuck with Chip.
And yes, when it comes to luck, it seems as if JPM has any, it's all bad.

I think it would be a good thing for JPM to get away from ganassi. I have been following the jayski site and have not seen any mention of jpm losing his ride though.
I'm sure there is somebody to give him a ride.
ganassi is not a top team so i don't think moving would be any kind of shock for montoya.
