He did it!!!! When Peter Mather said Geoff Munyard was building a car I thought he was having me on, but there it is and looking good too. How did he go Ellis? Track is looking nice and lush - obviously had plenty of rain lately.

From what I saw, Geoff had Ellis's measure (but only just)...both cars closely matched and flying
[Edit: maybe they both had secret weapons under the bonnet? ]

Geoff is getting the bugs out gradually
Has had my spare head on it since last Longford Historics
Just sent him some spare front springs today to stiffen front a bit
The only place I can safely pass him is in the braking area at end of straight
or by doing a desperate on top of the hill...which I didnt. He has wider 13" wheels and disc brakes
where mine complies with Nb rules
My best time was 1.14.9 and his was about 1.15.2
Trevor Grace in the Blue Humpy was doing 1.15.'s but had a few breakdowns
but when he was running the 3 of us had a bit of fun
Great meeting and surprisingly good weather
ps...I got him a Smed sticker so that we are equal under the bonnet......lol

A superb meeting at Australia's best track. Good money raised for the track to from what I hear! And to see the hill packed with cars was very nostalgic as well

Looks very much like a Broadspeed GT

Mick
It is a home built mostly f/g special ....would have been inspired by the Broadspeed I imagine

Ahhhhh...thanks Ellis, I thought I had seen pictures of just about every Mini variant...but this one didn't ring a bell (the HSRCA sticker was also an odd addition)
