Anyone going to the SVRA event at Watkins Glen September 4-8, 2013?

OldRacingCars.com is looking for a volunteer to take a look at some of the cars that will be there so we can update our records.

I'm going and I'm looking, but, what exactly do you mean?

I'm interested in the Formula cars at the event and specifically trying to find out their chassis numbers. Some may have boards next to them giving their history, some might be described in the race program, some may have visible chassis plates, some might be a matter of asking their owner, driver or crew.

In the case of the Formula 5000, their current owners may well still be correct on OldRacingCars.com but cars change hands and it's hard for us to keep up to date without a few "field agents", willing to pass on the latest news.

Thanks for the update. We were around the curve near the TV tower and wondered what had happened down there. Amazing that the photographer survived.

So the other photographer must be Tom Ryder of Associated Press as mentioned in the Star-Gazette article in post 7.
