Here´s what Alonso just said in his Twitter account:"The Warrior that uses the sword when is insulted can not be considered brave, brave man does not flinch, because he has higher goals.."Any thoughts about his relationship with Ferrari?
Paranoia will destroy ya.

As Aditya said, so many ways to interpret what Alonso says, but with the poster (sorry, forget which one ) highlighting the hashtags Alonso put in his Tweet giving props to Ferrari (Mysteriously left out by the OP, I might add), it makes it pretty clear he WAS NOT DISSING anyone at the Scuderia.
Alonso is a great talent, but also an engima, who stirs the passions and generates irrational hatred in some. I've watched F1 since the late 80's, and the only driver I can remember who set off such polar reactions in people was the great Senna himself. Fernando will likely not be fully appreciated until he's left the sport.
Alonso is a public figure, so go ahead and mock his chosen philosophies, like those of the samurai. As a person who has studied ancient Chinese and Thai martial arts, myself, for many years, his concepts of being focused on achieving higher goals and maintaining self-control aren't "strange" at all...just steps on his path to greater personal enlightenment. I'm certain it's his mindset and discipline that enables him to accomplish the incredible feats he manages on the track.

I love the samurai stuff as well. Great to get so many quotes of Japanese warrior philosophy out of a 21st century sportsman. I do not see anyone with such depth, neither in F1 nor in any other sports. Naturally people don't like that because it is unique und confronts them with their own, well, mediocrity.
Yeah ROTFLOL.... No doubt I am nobody but needing that to be pointed out by platitudes, dont think so. Depth my aching ass...

Joey Barton also posts "deep" Art of War quotes and ****. He's about as try-hard - "look at me, I'm an intelligent footballer, honest" - as it gets.

Senna was reading the Bible and was getting attacked for it too, notably by Prost. So there you go - the first driver after Senna who openly shows his spiritual side. (Alex Wurz has it too, yet he always kept his spiritual discipline concealed to avoid criticism)
Alonso is very brave and probably doesn't give much on what people are posting here - he has his own calibre, whether understood or not. And yes, I can imagine what kind of responses my post attracts.....
It is not that there was anything wrong with the Samurai -thingy but those "nuggets of wisdom" feel so facetitious and rather awkward. If Fred were to be regarded as a Samurai (those who serve in close attendance to the nobility) by OTHERS and if his use of said wisdom were more eloquent or to the point instead of that "true warrior (ME ME ME!!) does not mind when his opponents sword is dull" -type, then it would be very fine. Now it is just a bit sad.

He also didn't exactly show a lot of self-control when the word got out on Kimi likely coming to Ferrari next season. More like he burst out in tears and went running up and down the grid asking for seat at other teams, crying about that Ferrari is terrible.

What is the original quote? because in English "brave man does not flinch, because he has higher goals" sounds stupid and makes no sense, not "deep", as was probably intended.
I think the idea is something like:
If someone says something negative about you (insults you), don´t overreact (don´t use the sword), in fact, no reaction is needed (no se inmuta), don´t get distracted, stay calm. You must be focused on deeper things, higher goals (porque sus objetivos son mas altos)
Obviously it can be related to Alonso-Ferrari relationship, although it seems to be related to Alonso-whoever relationship, or basically to brave man (whoever)-whoever/whatever attacks, criticizes, says something negative about the “brave man”.
I don´t think Alonso wants to be regarded as a Samurai, it doesn´t seem to be about “what others think about me”, it seems to be about “what I think is…”
Frankly, I find the philosophical part of this story really interesting. All these Samurai quotes seem to show more of driver personality than lots of speculations.

You sure it's not some other bodily fluid you're wiping off your chin?
Please see portion about "irrational hatred." You come across like "Archie Bunker" (You might have to look that one up) afraid of people/concepts that are foreign to you.
As for your last thought, not sure when Alonso took up this philosophy, but Samurais are warriors, not "peaceniks," and will fight back when under (non-verbal) attack.

well i was about to throw up, but i have a better control of my bodily function.
people can see meaning in a pile of **** and interpret future, or see twitter quotes and deduce that person is 'self controlled' 'high goals' and 'enlightened'
i on the other hand only see a pile of ****, and no, i don't try to deduce a person with his/her 'twitter quotes'. in fact, i dont' even use social media like FB/twitter
but .... don't take it as an insult, if u've studied martial arts and ancient philosophies, i'll bet u know a lot more than me, and kudos to that, i have no qualms with your expertise , it's just, don't use them on twitter quotes, that's all. it kinda makes people look foolish.

Ahhhh! A fellow martial artist. Well, one of the first things any student is taught from a reputable instructor is respect for self, respect for nature and respect for others. Some folks regularly hurl insults at other drivers as if it's some sort of sport. Absolutely your right to do it. I prefer to marvel at their talent --whether they're my chosen favorite or not. Guess that's how I choose to go about it. Just making it to F1 is an incredible achievment -- even for those monied drivers who had to show some talent in lower formulae.

You have got to be kidding me. In case aren't here's a few for your delight:
"Whenever you meet difficult situations dash forward bravely and joyfully."
"Take arrows in your forehead, but never in your back."
"If you walk, just walk. If you sit, just sit. But whatever you do, don't wobble."
"The warrior's intention should be simply to grasp his sword and to die"
Let me know if you like those, I have plenty more, after all it's easy to copy and paste.

why? I don´t find anything related to insecurity in these quotes, on the contrary, I think the message shows confidence.
It´s a matter of opinion, in my personal opinion, I like these kind of quotes. I like Samurai culture as well. I don´t care if Alonso is a F1 driver, a dentist or a ballet dancer, he likes this culture and I believe he is right to do so.
A bit off topic but I love the following quote from Billy Wilder "If there's anything I hate more than not being taken seriously, it's being taken too seriously". Some quotes are really interesting, no matter the source
