Whilst searching the archives for some of my previous posts, it's very disappointing to discover that many of the photos (yet not all?!) that I have posted over the years have either disappeared or the links have broken. Unlike many other contributors who posted vis Imageshack, I have maintained a fully paid-up imageshack account so there is no reason for them not to be there.

The archives are a mess.

Have you checked that the photos are actually still on ImageShack? IIRC they auto-delete images which have not been viewed within a certain time frame - although whether that applies to paid accounts I don't know. A few of mine - on a free account - have gone AWOL for no obvious reason: the URLs are still valid, but the images are blank.

 

A quick google for 'images disappearing imageshack' brings up many complaints about lost pictures, so I'm not sure that this is necessarily a matter which can be blamed on the new format.

Imageshack deletes photos. I have been saying it for years. It is not related to views. They just seem to go at random.

Stop using Imageshack. It is rubbish.

No, they are all still there....al 6369 of them! I paid to keep them there for if you don't they start to delete them after 12 months (I understand).

Image Shack is another question for another place - For anyone using IE11 the question is moot, they can't even paste a single word into the site, never mind a picture; in fact, we can do bu**er all, we can't even use the editing tools provided, they just lock up Internet Explorer entirely. It has been many many months since the new all singing all stumbling site was introduced, isn't it about time it was sorted out.

I deleted the update and it works fine for me now and I don't feel any the poorer for not having that particular update

I know there have been changes here.  I skimmed through the replies in relation to this.  but couldn't find how to see my previous posts in the nostalgia forum. at the moment I can only go back perhaps five or six.
