Old and slow, but where on the new site do I click to go to the first unread post since my last visit? Old, cranky and do not deal with change well!

Near the top, way over to the right. It will be called View New Content. It will bring up a page that you can modify to your preference.

I mentioned this in the new forum feedback thread but it may have got a bit lost in there... We didn't migrate the information about where you'd got up to in a thread over from the old database, so clicking on the circle to the left of a thread to see the posts since you last visited the thread will only work if you've viewed that thread on the new forums.

Found that, now how to show unread for only (1) of the forums and make it the default view.\?

I would have guessed choosing "filter by forum" and selecting whatever there but that did not go well here. The popup window would not do anything besides show my checkmark. No enter, no close, just a tick that would toggle on and off. If caught in this scroll over to that "view new content" for another go. "Just items I follow" does work. That may mean the you will need to formally follow each thread until that hiccup reaches the top of Hack's list. Also note Grayson's post above (#4).

edit: Oh hey, popup is shrunken enough to show save/cancel buttons now. So you should become able to filter by forum again. Thanks Hack and Grayson. BTW admirable performance from the server today even if the Kimi to Ferrari thread was busier than the race thread.
