The £50 postage has to be a mistake. I am out of the country till the end of March so I am unable to query this. I posted a large number of books to the USA and the cost was £9.90 airmail.

Thanks Duncan & Cedric -- I have sent a query to them through e-bay and we will see what they say.

I have just sent an email to Marie Curie. As soon as I have a reply I will post it.

Unfortunately for me, they are charging 50 pounds to ship a 10 pound book to the US. Not happening.

Frank

still listed with Horton's

And the hardbound, signed for 150 quid.

And postage only £29-40 as it covers "up to 2 kg"

Yes, Horton's is also horrible for international postage charges to the US. So are all Australian dealers.

Great book Cedric, bought from Marie Curie, on my all time hero.

You won't remember me, but we met several times in the late '60s/early '70s, usually over a drink (or two....) at Dave Anders' place in Wembley or Hatch End. I was working as a buyer for Alan Foster at the London Sports Car Centre in Edgware. Roger Edwards was our mutual friend/contact. Good days!

Best of luck with the book, and everything else.

John Wilkinson.

Marie Curie have just altered the postage abroad to £8.00 which is more like it.  The £50.00 must have UPS next day. I am sure no one wanted my book urgently.

Just thought I would report that I received my copy today from Marie Curie, and the international postage was £9.90, just as Cedric said. Thanks again to all. It looks really good!

I just received my copy via international post yesterday, and I stayed up rather late last night reading this wonderful book.  Mr. Selzer had a very disntictive voice; his recollections and anecdotes from a period which is my personal favorite in Grand Prix racing are most appreciated.  I would highly recommend this book to anyone who frequents TNF.
