Most boring race for a long time together with spa. 2011 all over again. It is incredible how Red Bull can build so fast cars.

Also, as I said before the race, pirelli has gone very conservatively. Maybe some lobbying behind the scenes..

But you could see it hurt him a bit to hear them cheering for Alonso, Hamilton, Raikkonen or Webber when they are with him on the podium. It can't be a nice feeling when you're the only one being booed.

Or he can also think that that's the case because there's only one winner boss.

Perhaps they have reacted to all those on here who have been baying about how 'cheese tyres' where ruining the racing and wanting a return to the era where of 'everlasting' tyres where drivers could 'drive flat out' all race long.

The problem is it was the same team whose decisions guided Vettel to those 3 WDC's, that was being slighted. You can argue that the order should not have been given, but once given should have been obeyed. Given Webber's position with the team, there must have been some valid reason for telling Seb to hold position, or do you think that Horner, Newey and the others are just idiots and Seb won 3 WDCs despite them. It will be interesting to see how people react if at some point Vettel needs to nurse the car home and Webber is in a position for payback. Will you be in favour of the team ordering him to hold position then?

Thanks for your considered response.

RBR was a midfield team until Vettel arrived. Newey has always been a genius. Horner is not an idiot - he is a very smart man who knows how to handle drivers since he was one himself, just not talented enough to get to F1.

Dieter has decided that there will be no more team orders. Vettel won two of his three WDC's by a small margin - seven points is a big deal. And I won't be surprised if Vettel, a la Schumacher, tosses a victory to Webber later this year.

Vettel has his way of winning. It is boring to some: get in front with a comfortable margin and then bring it home. So I thought it was a good race but I accept that my thoughts differ from others.

I wouldn't do it myself but it's a free, democratic country, they can do what they want (I disliked the 'Hamilton family' in Spain for example, but freedom of speech/expression is a bitch)...

Well, the people from Greenpeace at the Belgian Grand Prix actually had a message they wanted to be heard, but they were restrained. All I heard today was uncivilized booing and brawling. I thought the Stone Age lies behind us. It was embarassing

He gets booed at most tracks because most tracks are full of Alonso and Hamilton fans. Which really should be news to no one.

I thought Raikkonen had the most fans?

Vettel is booed because his races are generally boring, simple.

that was never the 'italian gp' IIRC, that was the 'san marino' gp ,

The 1980 Italian GP was at Imola.

Anyone notice the banana skin headed for Vergne, Hamilton and Button on the way to Lesmo 2 on lap 8?
