I wonder if anyone can help with some ID of a vehicle and places in this 1970 Dunlop SP Sport Ad

01_13_09_08_Dunlop_10_70_1.jpg

Identify who is driving and where this #16 MS11 photo was taken I believe the #16 was most frequently seen on Rob Walkers Lotus 49 in 1968, at the Dutch Grand Prix it appears Richard Attwood had the number on his BRM while Stewart had the #8 on his winning Ford powered MS10 @-)

From the 1969 Tour de France I have Larrouse / GĂ©lin #181 Porsche, Greder / Vigneron #143 Corvette, and Rouget / Depret #191 Ferrari, but can anyone tell me where the photo was taken ?

Relevant answers maybe credited and used in a forth coming blog.

Thanking you in anticipation of your responses.

The second one is definitely Reims; the first one is Beltoise in the V12 Matra MS11 at Zandvoort, but the race number appears to have been crudely altered as he carried #17.

Behind is a BRM P126, either Attwood whose race no. was actually 16 or Courage who was 20.

One photo you haven't enlarged, the one on the right...

That's at Clermont Ferrand.

I also thought the MS11 photo was at Zandvoort, as it really couldn't have been anywhere else. At the next race at Rouen the car was fitted with the triangular winglets attached to the top front wishbones and a small rear aerofoil. However, I was worried, as all the photos I could find (in Autosport, Motor Sport and on the net) showed JPB wearing goggles, not the bubble visor, eg:

Then I found this one, where he's wearing the bubble visor:

My guess would therefore be that he tried the bubble visor in the wet Saturday practice, but reverted to goggles for the race.

I thought I better check the third pic labelled as Larrouse on the Tour de Corse, seems that was a white #70 911 so does anyone have any idea's who is driving the car in the Dunlop ad ?

The apparent lack of a navigator looks a bit suspicious.

There are some great photos on the motorsport-magazin.com site but this caption made me laugh.

"Formel 1 1968, Niederlande GP, Zandvoort, John Surtees, HWM, Bild: Sutton"

This is definitely a 1968 Tour de Corse picture. The XIII edition was in 1968.

In 1969 the rally-plate had only "Tour de Corse" without any Roman numerals.

This 911 driver could be Claude Ballot-Lena or Gerhard Schuler.
