I think this will work in a similar way that Lewis-Jenson did.

not sure on that, if kimi starts beating alonso regularly and there is a good chance of them winning either title, it will get a little heated. Alonso is only happy when he is winning. For it to work I think alonso would have to be beating kimi most of the time and i just dont see that happening

Senna/Prost easily. They won a WDC each. Has that ever happened with any other pairing?

Edit: Oh, yeah, Lauda/Prost.

The Senna-Prost pairing contains two drivers in my all time top 5.

The Fangio-Moss pairing contains two drivers in my all time top 4. And with less aggro.

I think the implied question is pairings where both won the WDC while still teammates.

So it didn't happen with any of the above.

As a 23 year old man, I didn't have the chance to live the battles between Prost and Senna or Scheckter and Villeneuve or Fangio and Ascari, but I am sure the duo made up by Raikkönen and Alonso is the most thrilling one for the last 20 years or so. Mesmerizing. Heart-breaking. Breath-taking. Can't find the right word for that. What do you think of that? Which other pairing could you  mention which could be somewhat comparable with this?

Senna - Prost, then Alonso - Raikkonen, then Fangio - Moss, Lauda - Prost and Piquet - Mansell.

Senna - Prost being the best so far....in terms of total WDCs it's by the way Piquet - Schumacher...

After a quick look.

The Senna and Prost is the most successful pair where both drivers became WDC each along with 2 WCC.

The Schumacher and Barrichello pair is the overall most successfull combo with 5 WDC and 5 WCC... followed by the Vettel and Webber pair.

Yes, but what does it say about Rubinho? Never a WDC....

Undoubtedly he was championship material, but joined the best team at the time which already had the best driver.

Well, most of the best pairings have been mentioned, some because of the drama, some because of the results.  I'll throw in a partnership that has yet to come up....

Stewart/Cevert.

Should be considered because obviously Stewart was the top man at the time, and Cevert though relatively inexperienced, fully showed he was ready to step up to the role of team leader had his future not been so cruelly cut short.  Plus they actually seem as if they were friends, which given some of the mentioned pairings is somewhat of a rarity.

I voted yes. Unless one of the drivers have no more chance of being WDC, then yes, he should help the other.

As for this partnership, Kimi doesn't really care, so i don't think it's gonna be a problem. The Hami-Alonso partnership exploded because both were bitter, and the team probably went against Alonso.

Yes, and by a distance. Piquet was still at a high level, winning races in 1990 and 1991 while Schumacher was just about to get started. It is a pity the line-up did not last a year or two longer so that we could have seen its true strength. If you want to talk about the best driving strength fielded by any F1 team, this one has to be up there. It was masked by not happening during a period of dominance by the team (as Senna and Prost had at McLaren) and the fact that Schumacher's quality was only beginning to be appreciated. Anyway, it deserves to be mentioned.
