latest word is race re-starts in ~50 minutes...

Here's a quiz:

Can anyone identify the person stepping into this Renault?

I know Google can,but I'll go with Montoya.

I'm hearing that the cars are being uncovered and the drivers have been called to their cars.

If they keep that up a race is going to break out.

From time to time we talk about everyone chipping in 20 bucks to buy one of us a ride in ARCA. I propose we all chip in $20 to buy something tight and revealing for Nicole Briscoe to wear before it's too late.

what happened to montoya?

The red came out when Cole Whitt spun in the sudden rain and he made contact with Montoya. Montoya's crew couldn't touch the car under red, but for some reason decided not to bring him in when they restarted (loads of others pitted to take new tires). He obviously had damage with the left rear fender. Green flag flies, and three seconds later Montoya's left rear explodes.

People say that in the 4chan sports board threads about NASCAR/IndyCar races so I stole it from them. The idea is to say boring things as if they were really exciting. I'd never say it's particularly funny but it's short and sweet.

Man, this race SUCKS!  Montoya with so much damage he's two seconds slower per lap, so he gets lapped every 15-20 green flag laps.

Great work by the team not to fix the damage.

Changing drivers wont fix their lack of success - they point blank are clueless at times.

Nascar will enforce the "we feel sorry for jnr" rule on Friday afternoon and give him the win in line with its new policy.

Kenseth: I gotta thank the Lord for letting me win and for pissing in the face of the other 42 drivers who tried just as hard.

See, that's an Autosport article I'd spend my last 5 clicks on.

Sitrep:

48: Shows why he is a real MAN. NASCAR tried to **** Jimmie out of a win and they should be fired up. Shame on NASCAR for denying the 10,000 fans who stuck around the JJ victory they wanted to see!

24: It's like they swapped out Jeff's Chevy SS for a Delorean! It's like its 1997. He was fast all race, caught a huge break and made the most of it. At times he had the fastest car of the race. If he can keep this up, we might be seeing a lot more of that gorgeous #24 car.

5: Typical KK race. Just hanging in there. Really amazed that the last pit stop did not help him! Good recovery though. He had that damage on pit lane, which may have been caused by the #7!

88: DAMN SHAME. Folks want to see the 88 run well, and he was a top 10 car. I am deeply concerned about that motor explosion. Hopefully HMS will dedicate a lot of their resources to figure out just what happened.

Seemed like Jr.'s car was flying the Hendrickcars.com banner last night. The most popular driver can't get a real sponsor for this Chase race?

They did have time Warner cable on the hood.

The Guard at Mt Dew pour so much money into that team they're more funded with a blank car for a few races than other big name cars are with full-season deals.

Gordon had no sponsor in the hood either.

The Drive To End Hunger "Ride with Jeff Gordon" promotion allowed fans who donated $124 to have their name appear on the #24 Chevy SS's hood during this weekend's race.

They raised about 50,000

That should pay for about a dozen laps.
