Long story short, my original ICR2 CD is gone (as well as my NR2003 CD) and I am looking for a replacement, but I would like to know what are differences bettween the original relase (titled Indycar Racing 2) and the later re-release (Cart Racing) when Papyrus lost the rights to the Indycar name.

Are both versions similar? I read somewhere that Cart Racing has the latest patches and all versions (DOS, Windows, Rendition) is this true?

Update.

After convincing google that I was not interested in shopping or Mario Kart (I wonder if google sided with Tony George during the split...) I finally found this very helpfull site that has a list of every american version of ICR2.

http://alison.hine.n...l/cart/cart.htm

I got the "Editors Choice" version and it's all that I wanted.

The 3 versions of CART are included AND the installer still works on Windows 7 32bit as well as 64-bit (only the useless Sierra installer doesnt work, but again it's not needed, CART's own installer works).

I had read that the Windows version of ICR2 does not work on Windows 7 64-bit. Well, this one works, but you need to set your desktop to a lower resolution or the colors will be messed up. Still no FF of course and there is a funny bug, if you set memory for replays too high you can't drive. Everything else works, wheel only needed a quick calibration and game speed is fine.
