Seemingly drunk at the time, the Hole frontwoman blamed the State for it's involvement in child obesity, big oil, and  bizzarely, the success of tv shows about storage units.

My theory is that the car was quickly repairable and his team told him to make it as short as possible to get back into the car, and this was the best way Kahne could figure out to keep the interview short.

 

My second theory is that Kahne has some kind of personal beef with the particular reporter.

He crashed.  IIRC it was byhimself, too, even though at first blush it looked like the yellow car behind him pushed him.

 

Just got too greedy with the throttle coming up out of the turn, and spun down the straightaway.  

 

Well, actually he saved it but pancaked the LEFT side of his car against the inside wall.

Can't blame Kahne for the interview, just took a huge championship hit at a track he likely had marked for big points and had to face a microphone just as he stepped out of the care center. NASCAR gives a lot of access with the pits/radio communications and one unfortunate byproduct is it puts competitors on the spot at dicey times.
