There is a bit on the various threads on racing at Carrell Speedway but I am looking for information specifically on Sports car races held there from 1948 through to 1953 and ideally if somone had copies of the programmes.

Any clues.

It is in fact this specific event 25 feb 1951 I am initially trying to get a copy of the programme for see the great footage at youtube

Al Moss certainly did a marvelous piece of work on those DVDs.

 

I have one Carrell Speedway sports car races program, and actually attended one.

No way, at this distance, to know which one, but I'm sure it was Phil Hill in the Alfa that

captured my attention. That and the natural-skinned hot dogs cooked in coconut oil.

And the scent of burning castor oil. And the delightful sounds. And ... well, I was

twelve (or so) years old. You know.

I did receive some great pics of XK120's at the 15 october 1950 meeting and the 25 feb 1951 meeting.

I would still love to get copies of other programmes and any other photos that exist

I don't have a contact address for him handy, but try to locate Art Evans of the Fab 50s non-club.  He was probably in your video.
