                                      average (s)          total (s)

Raikkonen - Grosjean          20                     161

Alonso - Massa                    32                     316

Vettel - Webber                   19                     188

di Resta - Sutil                     12                      85

Button - Perez                     11                     108

Hamilton - Rosberg               1                        8

Vergne - Ricciardo                9                       34

Hulkenberg - Gutierrez        14                    126

Maldonado - Bottas               5                      45

Bianchi - Chilton                  33                    363

Pic - van der Garde             29                    260

A few notes:  First, I whipped this together pretty swiftly, so it isn't exact.  Second, I only counted races where both teammates were still running (and neither were several laps back due to major damage/very long pit stops). Third, Vergne and Ricciardo only finished together 4 times, whereas every other pairing finished at least 7, often more like 9 or 10).

So, a few interesting points that I draw from this:

-Hulkenberg has perhaps underwhelmed by not thoroughly trashing his rookie teammate as expected.

-There is very little between Hamilton & Rosberg

-I didn't realize van der Garde was so far behind Pic; Pic's dispatching his teammate nearly as well as Bianchi.

-Massa fares very, very poorly with Alonso.

Interesting.

Like you, im surprised by Pic smacking VDG around so much.

The Merc pair are ridiculously close.

Interested in seeing what source data you've chosen to include, and what you've thrown out. In particular for the STR duo.

If one driver has a great race and finishes, the other driver has a poor race and crashes, the driver who had a great race gets no recognition in these stats

and there's the answer to the STR duo. Vergne usually retired when he was well behind Ricciardo.

That's the immediate problem I see as well.
