There is discussion about whether its worth it for a state run TV station to finance F1 broadcasting. I was wondering how much F1 broadcasting fee costs?

According to this article, Sky Italia is paying €65m from 2013 on for exclusive broadcast of F1 in Italy. Before that, RAI was reported to have dished out roughly half of that.

There are no official numbers for what RTL pays for Germany AFAIK, but it was rumoured to be €80m for exclusive rights in the past, so that was before Sky bought a license too.

It depends on possible audience, so it is hard to predict on a country basis. Usually a sport starts on Eurosport for European coverage and when a class becomes succesful, they make deals per country. It happened to F1 and to MotoGP and so it will in the future.
