indeed, which has it's compromises.
I didn't fully understand how small the smaller cars were...don't the French have some special rules for very small engined cars that you don't need a lic for?

Indeed, quadricycles or 4 wheeled mopeds. Engine is limited to 15 kW, Renault make a very exciting looking electric one, tandem seating, tho the back seat wouldn't suit you or me. India is talking about allowing a similar class.Tata are opposed.

most farm accidents are a result of trying to climb a 70 deg slope and the vehicle topples over backwards crushing the rider/driver.
I personally know of a death in my farming district.

These are road cars, but yes quite similar in problems to quadbikes.

Those are microcars, which are counted as motorcycles and in some countries therefore require no licence. France seems to be the big market, and in a nice motorsport link, an important manufacturer is former F1 builder Ligier. Some of them are quite neat little things, with alloy wheels and up to the minute styling.
