Yeah, really important, a famous person writes his/her name on a paper for you..
Important, no. But then again, where did I mention a famous person scribbling their name on a piece of paper as important? There's far more important events in life that go on. But behind an autograph is something sentimental to the owner. (Unless it's those types who get famous people to sign loads of things, then sell 'em)
When I was very young I went to a Blues game and tried to get an autograph from Kevin Francis. Was stuck behind some adults, so I didn't think he saw me. He was started to walk off, noticed me and then apologised for nearly missing me out and signed the programme. He didn't have to do that, but he made sure a young lad wasn't disappointed before the game started. His signature is worthless anyway, as he's working in Canada as a policeman now I think. . Autographs like that are more of a memento, than something worth anything. They're priceless, like I said.
