I hope so because that'd mean no points for Fernando and, by extrapolation of form this season, no points for Felipe. I'd like to see Lotus close up the WCC places, if only for something to cheer for in the last few races.

Interesting, your opinion is worth more value than mine in this case, as I am strictly an F1 fan.

I'd like to add that of course there are fuel related issues at times (even as recently as yesterday in Virginia's ALMS race) but they're not any more dangerous than, for example, spec tires that have been made purposefully s*itty to explode (wink wink)... also the pitlane crews are using ultra protective fire resistance suits nowadays, thus eliminating the danger almost entirely.

Also I'd like to correct the percentage I noted, it's probably more like 60 % (series which use refuelling). But those series have refuelling as there's actually need for it due to longer races and tank sizes and whatnot, not for entertainment purposes.

Thanks for the info

You should have added an option "I don't care," because, quite frankly, this is the worst WDC/season since 2004.

So you missed 2011? I mean really.

Vettel will be a 4x WDC at younger age than Alain Prost was when he won his first GP. It's quite stunning tbh.

I'm done with F1 for the year. Had to switch this race off after the start, just too boring. Hope next year has more competition and excitement.

Oh! I suppose we can hope that Vettel won't still be winning championships by the time he's 38, like Prost did in 1993. ;)

17 years

Schumi did 16 on the trot (and added 3 later), it could happen

I voted 'Don't care'. If Vettel doesn't take the title in Japan, he'll almost certainly take it in India. 2nd place is bound to be Alonso's. And in the WCC only 2nd — between Ferrari and Mercedes — is of any interest.

Vettel and Red Bull are majestic, this season, and although I applaud them for their excellent achievements, the season is becoming rather dull, indeed. Maybe it's not as bad as 2002 and, worse still, 2004, but before yesterday's first safety car, I fast-forwarded through many laps.

Anyone who thinks that, after Vettel takes his 4th WDC, the remaining races will be of more interest, check out the 2011 race results after the Japanese Grand Prix: 2 wins and a 3rd for Vettel, a win by team-mate Webber. Depressing, right? ;)

I don't care either. The races are barely worth watching any more as its just rinse and repeat. Just a terrible season and really the entire era since 2010, where we see an engineer dominating the sport. We can only pray that next year the Redbull loses its advantage, because if its dominance continues it will severely damage the sport. Barely anyone will watch, its really that bad.
