Saturday 8th July 1950 was the perfect summers day for the Eastern Counties Motor Club to hold their gymkhana in the grounds of Major G.H. Brown's Melton Grange; on the outskirts of Woodbridge. According to reports over 200 spectators attended, bringing their picnics and taking tea in the Grange.

The last few seconds of the film shows the washed out Reliability Trial of February 1951. Thankfully; all the competitors made it safely to Lavenham for tea!

Starting at Newmarket and having followed a 370 mile route the 1952 E.C.M.C Felixstowe Rally finished at midday on Saturday 23rd August. After lunch Driving Tests were held in the car park of the Cavendish Hotel on the sea front.

The overall winners of the rally was the Morley Twins in their first ever event and Archie Scott Brown took the honours in the tests.

By 1960 the E.C.M.C had decided that the rally calender was becoming rather full so opted for a series of Driving Tests. Starting at R.A.F Martlsham they went on to various venues in Felixstowe, this was very popular with the crowds. The winner was Tony Bray in his TEST 1 Special, also featured is Jimmy Shand in the Holbay Lotus VII and Mike Pinner in his Ginetta G2.
