Do any of our TNF friends in Queensland have access to copies of the magazine Motor Sport in Queensland Published in the 1950s? I am told it carried reports on most, if not all Queensland events. I am particulalry interested in a report which covers practice and support events at the 1954 Australian Grand Prix at Southport.
I am also interested in any other reports in later editions of that magazine (November 1954 onwards), that mention Bill Pitt and a Cooper. The car in question is a MKV, and NOT the LPS Motors Cooper MkIV which Pitt, Swinburne and Lewis raced from in 1953-54.
Any assistance appreciated - the outcome will appear in the 'Early Coopers in Australia thread' in due course.
Is it too hopeful to ask if anyone has photos of Bill Pitt in a Cooper Mk V?
