Sorry, I appreciate you're usually an above average sensible poster, but it's quite lame to claim something and then dismiss the first question about it because the wrong person asked, and then dodge the same question from another poster because you suddenly realize it's all not worth it.
If it makes you happy.
In 2012, Schumi had flashes of his old best (Monaco qualifying), but his reflexes and ability were clearly fading, yet he remained competitive against Nico. Regardless of how you rate Lewis, in 2013 he is a faster and better driver than Schumi was in 2012, its just nature when you see incidents like Schumi shunting into JEV, Schumi may have had a brain on his shoulders Lewis could only wish for, but the natural ability was clearly slipping.
Nico had his worst year against Schumi in 2012. Yes the car in 2012 was a lot worse than 2013, but Schumi even in his senile state, was getting more out of it than Nico most weekends. Other than China and a few other races, it was not a good year for Nico.
This year he has beaten Lewis in a straight fight many times, something other teammates of Lewis have failed to achieve. Lewis is still fairly young and at his peak, unlike Schumi version 2012 the flesh is strong so to speak, still sharp. It was well known that Nico stepped it up before 2013 in terms of working out and homework, the guy was a sponge, it has the simple effect of improving his performance no end in 2013.
I would speculate that Nico got complacent in 2012, there is no real reason I can see why Schumi caught up to him in 2012, as Schumi got older and older from 2010 and 2011. You could argue Schumi took a long while to shake the dust off, but 2 years? I am critical of Lewis taking a 1 year for adapting to his new team.
