Boring race probably like in the last five, six years.

My guess: Webber gets a bad start, making Vettel fly off in the distance and Hamilton, Raikkonen and Alonso end up fighting for the other two podium positions.

I am going to be a crown pessimist, and say Webber and Lewis fall back at the start, and Seb races a typically measured yet dominant performance to.

I think Alonso will be on the Podium of around there, so I doubt the Championship will be fixed tomorrow, India I think will be where Seb gets number 4

I am staying up to watch this one. Would be nice to see Webber get a win before he retires, although I think Vettel and Hamilton will have him by T1.

HAte duel between VET and WEB, they crash or fail... GRO get beaten again by RAI with the help of the SC, MAS will win after no Mercedes has the race pace to deliver, ALO will crash out against someone in the first lap like last year (again it is RAI)... so enjoy.

EXCLUSIVE! Bernie FOM scenario for Round 15 Japan Grand prix leaked!

- Webber P1->P11 before Turn 1

- Hamilton on the radio "Tyres are gone mate" @ lap 5

- Bottas vs Van Der Garde drama part 7

- SC midrace - Riccardo in the wall

- Raikkonen making it up into the podium out of usual nowhere

- Gutierrez in the points... just to be thrown out of them because of post-race penalty.

- Both Force India's and Jenson Button retired due to tyre failures - Pirelli teams FIA shock controversial

- Vettel finishing 40 seconds ahead of everyone asking to play music on the radio in the final laps

Webber has a trend of messing up starts so the pessimist in me says Vettel will be P1 way before the first cornerand shall not be seen again until the end of the race.

The optimist in me says Vettel's KERS trouble will continue and he will not grab this win. I'm not ashamed to admit I'd be happy to see that - he's won enough.

Double podium for the boys in black. Ideally with one on the top step.

It most likely won't happen but maybe, just maybe, if I wish hard enough.

I don't mind which of the two gets the win - Kimi to shut up the conspiracy theorists or Romain to break his duck - if that helps. :)

Anyone think Webber will be super aggressive at the start towards Vettel to the point of crashing?

I think Lotus will be the dark horse in the race.

There is something with Webber starting on pole, he does not mess up his start as much. Law of averages catch up with him for a good start at that point of time.

Expecting Webber to make the usual dismal start, but if he doesn't.. I wonder what plan RBR will use to shuffle him out of the way of golden boy?

Can't predict what will happen during the race, but I'm ready to bet good money that after the race FA says something to imply he over-drove the car...

Red Bull doesn't need a strategy to get Vettel past Webber. Just ask them both to drive as fast as they can.

If Romain can keep it on track then I feel he can be in the mix with the Red Bulls at the end of the race.

Expecting the Mercedes boys to suffer tyre degredation more than their opponents so falling back over the course of the race.

Felipe has a great chance to showcase himself for 2014, Fernando needs one of his electrifying starts to score enough points to take the Drivers Championship to India.

Sauber Nico for good points, likewise Kimi, would be EXTREMELY happy if I was understating these drivers and they BOTH feature on the podium.

Jenson and Sergio scratching for a point or two for McLaren and the Safety Car to make at least 2 appearances on track.

Time to hit the sack soon, a little over 6 hours and 30 minutes till the lights go green and..........................

WEARERACING

Webber should have this easily if he gets a good start. Ted said in his notebook that Mark had setup his car with the race in mind not expecting to be starting on pole so he should be very hard to overtake. Fingers crossed.

Sebastian could DNF in Suzuka, India, Abu Dhabi, USA and Brazil and would still be crowned 4x WDC by the end of the season.

Vettel to lead Webber by the end of Lap 1 and romp away for his 9th victory of the season.

1-2 finish for RBR.

The MGP boys will not a podium.

Grosjean will take the last podium position.

Hope in vain. It's all academic really, the only thing anyone wants to know is if Vettel gets booed.

Does someone know about Vettels kers? Does he have it and is there somekind of penalty for fixing KERS after qualifying?

There is no penalty for Seb to repair his KERS but there is a risk that the problem will return during the race.

Thanks. So he will start the race with fully working but unreliable KERS system?

My vote goes for Webber and Vettel to do a Suzuka 1989 reenacment.

...and then Todt to do a Balestre decision.

Drivers and FIA just had a minute's silence for Maria de Villota - in garage to make it semi-private. A nice gesture

Jennie Gow ‏@JennieGow

A minutes silence for #MariadeVillota as the paddock and drivers remember.

They didn't allow to make it on track and with the official cameras. The only reason why it happen is because De La Rosa pushed for it and they have to do it almost in secret.

That's was nice gesture . I would have been very surprised if they didn't .

First race of the year that I won't be watching.. I can predict Vettel dominating and Lewis and Grosjean having a good battle .. Webber will have some sort of problem, alonso will beat massa and rosberg will not be a factor..

It is a long drag race to T1 - 545m long.

Webber will be under pressure to get a perfect start.
